Room signals never touch the score. They are what an instructor listens for, not something Noeta scores anybody on.
These sample recordings were made before the unseen case existed, so they do not contain one. A live session does.
How it is set up
Three depths, per course or per exam. At the lightest she asks for the reasoning once; at the heaviest she probes every thin answer.
One to five of the questions the student answered. Most courses settle around three.
Always on, and not a setting. It is the whole reason a session cannot be rehearsed.
Granted by the instructor, never a control the student reaches, so a setting made for one student cannot become a way through for everyone.
Each complete sentence holds until the next begins, rather than rolling word by word. For anyone who reads faster than they hear.
The turn is labeled, so an instructor knows timing and room signals mean nothing on it.
Per student, never per course: handing the text to everyone would put every question on a screen to be photographed.
The text appears on its own if audio cannot play. A student who cannot hear the question has not been caught doing anything.
